What are Nano Hairstrokes?

Nano Hairstrokes are an advanced cosmetic brow tattoo technique that creates the appearance of natural brow hairs using a precision digital machine with an ultra-fine needle. Tiny pigment strokes are carefully implanted beneath the surface of the skin to mimic the look of real eyebrow hair.

Each brow is completely customized to complement your facial features, natural hair growth, and desired outcome. Nano Hairstrokes are ideal for adding fullness, improving shape, filling sparse areas, or recreating brows that have thinned over time—all while maintaining a soft, natural appearance.

Because Nano Hairstrokes are created with a machine rather than a manual blade, they are generally gentler on the skin and suitable for a wider variety of skin types, including oily and mature skin.

Nano Hairstrokes vs. Microblading

Although both treatments create realistic hair-like strokes, the technique used is different.

Microblading

  • Performed with a handheld blade.

  • Best suited for normal to dry skin.

  • Can become softer or blur over time, depending on skin type.

  • Creates more trauma to the skin.

Nano Hairstrokes

  • Performed with a digital machine and an ultra-fine needle.

  • Suitable for all skin types, including oily and mature skin.

  • Creates crisp, realistic hairstrokes with excellent precision.

  • Generally gentler healing and beautiful healed results.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is an advanced technique of Cosmetic Tattooing, also known as Semi-Permanent Makeup. We do this through a gentle process of implanting color pigment beneath the surface of your skin using sterile, one-time use micro needle tool. Our technique and tools allow us to create the appearance of hair like strokes where there is none and add shape to enhance a look of fullness where hair already exists. This result is a natural and fluffier looking brow.

What is MicroShading?

MicroShading is a combination of Microblading and manual Shading. Soft manual Shading in small points is added to shade in sparse areas. The results are natural hair like strokes with a soft makeup look resembling a makeup penciled in or powder effect.

What is Powder Brows?

Powder Brows are created with a specialized Semi-Permanent Makeup machine. This procedure gives the look of having your brows filled in with makeup pencil, powder, or pomade. We can customize if you prefer a soft or defined makeup look. With Ombre, we create a light to dark effect creating a dimension.

Does it hurt?

Most clients compare the pain to tweezing and experience no discomfort as we make every effort to ensure you remain comfortable. We use two topical numbing anesthetics throughout your procedure. With everyone being different person to person, please mention before your procedure if you have especially sensitive skin. It’s important to note you will be more sensitive on your menstrual cycle.

What should I do before?

Please make sure to follow Pre-care for the best healed results. Please eat breakfast/lunch prior to your appointment. If you can come in with your brows how you normally would fill them in so we can see an idea on shape and color, you can also bring in a few brow goal photos so we can reference your desires. Please do not tweeze/wax/thread any hairs, which can affect the shaping process, the more natural hair growth the better, we will spend a good amount of time mapping & designing your beautiful shape. If you plan on going on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip 1 month prior or after the procedure. Please avoid the following prior:

-Avoid alcohol, pre-workout, caffeine 24 hours before (yes even decaf, which has caffeine)

-Avoid Prenatal Vitamins, Niacin, Aspirin, & Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before.

-Avoid the sun & tanning beds 1 week before.

-7 days prior avoid Fish Oil, Retin A, Vitamin E.

-Avoid Chemical Peels/Microdermabrasion or facials up to 4 weeks prior.

-If you have Anemia or low iron, please take an iron supplement prior.

-Wash your hair before to reduce the risk of getting the procedure wet.

How long does it last?

Semi-Permanent Makeup can last 1-2 years, following the right Pre-care & Aftercare. Your new brows will fade over time and periodic touch-ups are required to maintain the ideal shape and saturation of the pigment. We recommend a touch-up around 6-8 weeks after your initial procedure and a color boost, as needed, after 6-12 months.

Many factors can affect this time frame including your skin type, genetics, medications, proper care for the brows after the procedure, how much sun exposure, facial products used, chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, etc.), lifestyle (how active you are), and how fast each individual's cell turnover is.

Please note that final results and time frame cannot be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.

Why are the touch ups needed?

Semi-Permanent Makeup is a two-part process, the initial procedure followed by a touch up. The touch ups are needed to go over any patchiness, fading, &/or add more definition, assessing pigment color &/or shape, and also will help the longevity of the pigment retaining in the skin. It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the color during the healing process and for Semi-Permanent Makeup to fade substantially the first time it is done, which is why it requires layering and is a two to three step process. Most clients need one touch up, some might need an additional one due to having a hard time retaining pigment, this could be from many factors listed above.

Is a Cosmetic tattoo for everyone?

Unfortunately, there are contraindications and factors that affect each service. Certain health conditions & certain medications can be dangerous to perform any Cosmetic Tattoo procedure. Skin types also a factor for each service. Microblading is best for non-oily & dry skin types. Oilier skin types can require more touch ups as the hair like strokes can blur with poor retention over time. Powder Brows may be the best option for oily skin. Semi-Permanent Makeup is not recommended for the list below. If you have or are experiencing any of these conditions, please refrain from booking.

-Pregnant or breastfeeding

-Diabetes

-Epilepsy

-Chemotherapy, or Radiation

-Autoimmune disease

-Major heart conditions

-Skin conditions near or on the brows such as: keloids, skin irritations, rashes, sunburn, psoriasis.

-Botox within 30 days.

-Accutane in the past year.

-Allergy to numbing agents: Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine.

-Viral infections or if you're feeling sick with a cold, flu, sore throat, cough, fever, & allergies (the day of).

-Previous Cosmetic Tattoo (please send a photo, some work cannot be corrected & will require removal)

What if I need to reschedule?

We understand that life happens, please allow 48 hours or more as soon as possible so we can get you rescheduled. If you reschedule less than 48 hours more than once, an additional $50 dollar deposit will be added to re-book.

How long is the appointment?

The procedure can last about 3 hours, but may be longer or shorter. Please allow up to 4 hours for your appointment. It may not require that many hours, but this is not something should be rushed.

How long does it take to heal?

Entire healing process will take 4-8 weeks depending on the service and your body’s regeneration cycle, age, immune system, and lifestyle (how active you are). The way you take care of your new brows after your procedure will have a great impact on the way they look when healed.

What is the healing process like?’

Your brows will go through a healing journey immediately after the procedure. They will go through phases before settling in and look more natural. Some clients experience flakiness, scabbing, and itchiness in the first two weeks. It’s common to experience fading of the pigment color, which is called the ‘Ghosting Phase’ and reappears shortly after. Following proper Pre-care & Aftercare, as directed, and trusting the stages are essential for the healing process journey to having gorgeous brows. Below is a timeline of how the healing process is (Differentiates for everyone, might be less or more)

-Day 1: The color will appear a little dark. Slight swelling, thickness, &/or redness could occur 1-2 days following the procedure.

-Day 2-4: Eyebrows will darken and could start to look like they are flaking off.

-Day 5-7: Flakiness continues and will look patchy.

-Day 8-10: The pigment color starts to fade and flaking ends.

-Day 14-28: Color reappears and starts to look more natural.

What if I already have an existing Cosmetic Tattoo from another artist?

Please send a photo of you existing brows to SeforaSculptsBrowsAndBeauty@gmail.com so we can see if we can help. If the brows are still saturated with pigment, we suggest a removal or using an exfoliating product containing glycolic, lactic acid, salicylic acid, & retinol. These ingredients will help to break down the pigment and make it easier to fade.

What should I expect after?

You can expect your brows to look gorgeous after! You may notice your brows may look darker, thicker, and some redness, which is expected for the first couple of days. It’s important to remember a Cosmetic Tattoo is an open wound and will require gentle care. The color will appear softer once your brows are completely healed. It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the color during the healing process. Your brows will appear approximately 20% to 25% darker and wider than they will be when completely healed. Natural exfoliation will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and narrow the width of your brows. Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows will initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire, this is all part of the healing process.

First 2 days: The color will be a little dark. Slight swelling, thickness, and/or redness for 1-2 days following the procedure.

After about 6 days: The color will appear to be very light.

After 10 days: The color will resolve itself to its appropriate shade.

Is it the same as a tattoo?

Although a Cosmetic Tattoo is essentially a tattoo it is only Semi Permanent that can last 1-2 years. It doesn’t go as deep as a standard tattoo, this is why it fades faster and looks more natural. Microblading is created with a handheld tool & Powder brows with a Semi Permanent machine, not like a traditional tattoo machine.
